I’m Thandi, known mostly as CraftGeekSA in the social sphere.

I am mad about beer. I homebrew (and am the VP of the National Homebrew Club), design inclusive beery merch, and am one of the hosts of the Beer Ladies Podcast. I also make Tik Toks occasionally.

After many years of procrastination, I recently got my BJCP certification and am headed towards Cicerone too. Here, I’ll be documenting my tasting sessions - so you can expect technical tasting notes (as opposed to opinion-based tastings) alongside general musings.

Before moving from South Africa to Ireland, I used to have a blog where I reviewed beer and wrote about my adventures in homebrew. I also wrote for Africa’s only print Beer Magazine OnTap. Now my writing will have an Irish spin.

I love cats. And fermenting stuff. And rugby. And changing my hair colour on a whim. I also have a habit of ending sentences with emojis.
